Hard to believe Spring has shown it's much needed head, and we are already into April with the usual mixed bag of weather systems. It's OK, at least it's warmer---I Hope.

I really want to comment in our first fly/drive to the Oshkosh museum. It was an absolute success! We had about 16 members either flying or driving to the museum. I set up a tour which was just terrific. Our tour leader brought up many topics about the old vintage aircraft -- that I didn't even know! Turned out he was a retired teacher and history was his expertise. Boy, did we luck out!
The Oskosh museum is just a great place to visit and EAA members are FREE Admission.

I understand that our last speaker, Ray Klaus, spoke about F.I.T.S. and everyone learned something. Thanx Ray for doing such a great job on learning decision making, risk management and situational awareness. THANKS AGAIN!

I also want to thank our own SKIP -- for doing an impromptu and filling everyone in on the operations of the Airport Management and Northwest Flyers. The bird population has somewhat diminished ... be sure to keep your eyes open for the Coyotes at dusk and in the evenings. Fuel prices are still holding, but are expected to increase, and Northwest Flyers has some really top notch mechanics on board to take care of your needs. It's really good to be filled in on the inner workings of our airport. Makes us feel like we're part of it. Thanx Skip!

Be sure to bring yourself and your appetite to our next meeting Wednesday April 13th, 7:00 pm. We will be having Italian beef sandwiches, chips and more? and will be discussing the layout of the rest of the year.....i n c l u d i n g our fly/drive overnight at Dacy airport with food and it's a BAR B QUE!

Let's get things motivated and we will plan other events too.

Darren will tell us all of the fly outs he has in mind -- and some of you may have ideas of places you want to go. TELL US -- we will do it. Also, those of you that want to fly but for whatever reason can't, we can fit you up with a pilot. I can take one and Darren can take a couple and some other pilots can too -- just let us know that you want to go.
