Im still full from all the food we had at the PIGNIC.The turn-out was awesome we had our Dupage guests come , a flock of Flight instructors,and some family members that also had a great time. We had SPA members help with set -up. Thanx to all you DYNOMITE helpers. This was a fun deal and the weather cooperated. My special thanx to George Moshos,who picked up the tab for the main course -The pig and the Chicken ka bobs.What a guy. All of you that donated stuff THANX.
July 14th we have the Tuskegee Airmen for guest speakers They will be BEV Dunjill and Bob Martin along with Ken and Nic. This ought to be one of our better meetings DO NOT MISS it. We will try to have it in Skips Hangar.- Stay tuned on that one!! Im sure the Airmen will have things to sell -bring your check books!! Lets help their organization !!
In case some of you didnt know it Schaumburg has Family Aviation Days in September on the 26 th to be exact We ,SPA will be apart of this event. I am helping the village put together the air show and some of the static display, we need planes for the display- old planes, experimental any kind of neato planes do you have one or a friend with one or two. The village will give a Fuel voucher and a food voucher for lunch. So lets help them put together the best show we can. We also will have a booth that we can have some stuff to generate money too for SPA activities. We need helpers for that too. Let me know at the meeting we will alternate often.
Next bit of great news::: drum roll please !!!!!
The village approved our glass show case. You will see it in the waiting area by the vending machines downstairs. Bring to the meeting those items you feel would be a perfect fit for displaying. But so you know up front, the village MUST approve it first. This is a big deal for us a first for the airport .Wait til you see and hear what else we have in the mil.
OK where the Heck were all the flyers for the last fly out ??
We will make this one an easy one we will go to Lake Lawn in Delavan Wisconsin (C59).
Just in case some of you didnt see my coupe it was back briefly from the paint shop.It looks pretty nice and flies great.But I developed a header tank gas leak and had to bring it back again for repairs.Im hoping that it will be finally fixed for OSH as I was asked to have it Prominently displayed by the Classics Type tent this year .What a thrill !! Finger prints all over it !!
This is an area I feel that we as an organization need to talk about
Its called the HOW ARE WE DOING area and WHAT DO YOU WANT area it makes the boards life easier as we rely on you guys for ideas on what direction you want us to go.So how is we doin yaall??
Last but not least,do all of you have a shirt or hat ? The revenue that we get from those sales fund our events .What other items would you like to see mugs ,key rings ,a George Foreman grill, aircraft related WHAT ????? e-mail me or Randy the webmaster.
