As I reflect over this last year, I think we all had a pretty good ride. We had a variety of guest speakers that addressed a lot of topics from one of our earliest Doc Shearing with his movie about all the ways you could not get your medical by failing it may different ways, to Tuskegee Airmen and their account of the war first hand flying P51 (everyones dream) to John Rippenger describing precision flying with Lima Lima. Wow we really FLEW through this year!!! I forgot about my silly idea to have Chilli night... I didn't see one of you not eating. That worked out pretty well too. I would say that the formula to a good meeting is FOOD and a good speaker and more food.. Well this coming meeting will have food, lots of it! BUT,,,,, WE WILL MEET Saturday October 16th out by the old hangars D AND E ROW. Bring your own folding chair and a favorite pass around dish (whom ever that is) this October ish fest for you guys 1 pm to about 4:30 pm. Bring a broom too.
We will take a sweep of the hangars while we are there. On the serious side,PAY your dues early NOW it will let us have a really nice sit down Holiday Party at a nice restaurant. Buy the Sweatshirts too. The 2005 models are now in and ready to be driven away. They are heavy weight and a new color ha\s been added. We ordered hats too but they aren't ready yet. They will probably be ready for the meeting on Saturday the 16th. The "Family Days" at 06C are over --Dave Dacy and his crew did a nice job with the wing walker. Thanx Dave, Tony and Bill. Elections will be in November Soooo... those of you willing to step up to the plate or we will step you up!!! Fer real!! I hope you all had a good time this year. That was the goal!! We all deserve it but we need new faces in the club to keep it going. New students are the choice and that new guy that hans around whomever he is, say "HI" and ask him or her to a meeting. That's all it takes. New stuff for the glass case is needed. Things like gauges, instruments, engine parts, etc. SEE YA SAT 16th D&E hangars 1PM. Dennis
